Zoov uses Stripe as a payment service provider to securely manage payment transactions and personal payment information for our users.
To comply with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), no payment method identification data is manipulated nor saved by our platform. All card numbers are encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256), which remains today the only algorithm listed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for the protection of classified data.
Strong authentication known as "SCA" (Strong Customer Authentication) is a new European requirement, implemented to improve the security of online payments within the framework of the Payment Services Directive 2nd version (DSP2). It is a process of adding levels of authentication when making a payment. Zoov uses the 3D Secure protocol which aims to reduce fraud and provide increased security to our users' online payments in order to meet the SCA requirement.
